What do you love most about being a mountain guide?
Variation of both winter and summer seasons, activities and routes and all the interesting people/guests I meet and spend time with.
What's your proudest moment?
Every spring and autumn when I change tyres on my vans. And when I fixed the floors and put up new floor boards in some rooms in my house.
What's tough about your job?
The process when you realize you and your team cannot complete the tour and have to turn around and go back.
What advice would you give the next generation of female mountain guides?
Be versatile ! All types of climbing from bouldering to aid will make you stronger and safer in the mountains. Your guests are your focus. Your job as a guide is to take care of your guests and coach them to perform as well as possible.
Name a fact about yourself not many people know (that you're happy to share).
My ape index is +11 cm . I am a keen boulderer, and I've cleaned about hundred boulders here in Romsdalen.
