What do you love most about being a mountain instructor?

The people I meet and being able to introduce them to a sport they can enjoy at any level and that takes them to some amazing places.

What inspired you to become an instructor?

Having worked in the outdoors since I left school, it was the next step in my career pathway. I was working as a trainee Instructor at Plas y Brenin at the time working with some of the most inspirational instructors, the likes of Libby Peter and Louse Thomas, who gave me the confidence and belief I could become an MCI.

What’s the most valuable lesson you have learnt?

Family, friends, health and hobbies are what make you happy.

What's your proudest moment?

This is a hard one. Because as a mother there are many proud parent moments.

What's tough about your job?

Working in the mountain on a really wet and windy North Wales day.

What advice would you give the next generation of female instructors?

If you work hard and have the desire you can achieve any level of qualification you decide to pursue. It easy to find reasons why you can’t do things, rather than ways to make it happen.

Name a fact about yourself not many people know (that you're happy to share).

I love to grow Vegetables (sorry it’s a bit lame, you don’t have to put this one in).
