Here are 5 reasons to come to Saastal this July..

1.       Friendly bolted multipitch in a Alpine setting on the Jegihorn. Enjoy 300m of 4c climbing on the route Alpendurst to a beautiful summit with the classic wooden cross, before a scramble descent back to the lift. There is also a via ferrata to the summit with a pretty spectacular bridge!

2.       The Saastal is surrounded by the greatest concentration of 4000m peaks in the Alps. Many of these have accessible normal routes of PD or below. With far reaching views to the Eiger, Monte Rosa massif and Mont Blanc area, the Saastal is a fantastic venue for alpine adventures

3.       A fantastic network of high mountain huts to base peak attempts from including the Almagellar hutte which as well as giving access to the Weissmeiss (4023m), has the rocky Dri Hornli ridge on it’s doorstep giving brilliant bolted routes as well as a classic AD ridge scramble.

4.       Based in the Kapellenweg campsite in the small village of Saas Grund, we have access to an extensive network of cable cars from the valley, easily reached using the regular bus service. Travel in the valley and cable cars (apart from the metroalpin) are included in your campsite fee with the Saastal Card https://www.saas-fee.ch/en/saastalcard/saastalcard-in-autumn

5.       An amazing network of women to spend the week with! With a mix of women from a variety of backgrounds and experience including British Mountain Guides, you’ll be able to ask for advice and recommendations in a friendly environment and share stories of your adventures each evening whilst refuelling together.
