Julian Foss Martin - Cross Country Instructor

I live and work in Norway and have been cross country skiing for as long as I can remember.

As a BASI Level 2 Nordic Instructor, Mountain Safety Instructor, former Nordic Ski racer and former British Champion I can provide good insight for beginners and more experienced skiers.

I newly completed my Bachelor of Science in Outdoor Pursuits in Norway and spend a lot of time in the mountains skiing, climbing and walking enjoying the outdoors.

As I have a Scottish father and a Norwegian mother I speak both languages fluently and can provide good insight into the life and times of growing up in Norway and Norwegian culture.

Urpu Hapuoja - International Mountain Guide

My name is Urpu Hapuoja. I’m living in Isfjorden, Romsdal, Norway and I am UIAGM / IFMGA / IVBV certified mountainguide.

I run my little guiding company and work full time as a mountainguide (Urpu Hapuoja Ski & Mountainguiding). Every now and then I also instruct skiing. I also work as an avalanche observer for NVE and Snøskredvarsling .

I’m originally from a little town Ii in northern Finland, but I’ve been living in Norway since 1996. I used to live in Trondheim where I studied philosophy, sports and psychology in NTNU. I’ve also lived in Oppdal where I worked as a ski instructor.

Julia Virat - International Mountain Guide

Julia is a wonderful woman, guide and Rab athlete, last year she fulfilled a life-long dream to solo El Capitan on Triple Direct - that includes three of Yosemite's classics!! She gave us a great talk about it this summer and what we loved most was the honesty, it’s ok to cry and cry…(even if you’re soloing El Cap, especially when you’re on your own up there)!

She’s also a beast on ice and great fun to be with.

Julia guided our summer trip too and can’t wait to reconnect with the club.

tamsin gay - International Mountain Guide

Tamsin also guided our summer meet and was an aspirant then but now is a fully fledged guide!!

She’s motivated by helping others achieve their own mountain goals, has a wicked sense of humour and is also a wonderful human being.

We can’t wait to have her back for Norway!
