It’s our first ever winter club meet!!
Join us in Hemsedal - (the birthplace of ice climbing in Norway!!)… for an incredible winter experience.
what’s on offer?
We’ve got workshops and skills clinics for all levels including:
Ice climbing:
2 days beginner course. Introduction to gear, skills, climbing techniques and how to put up a top rope, working towards a goal that the participants are able to go and crag ice themselves. 6 participants per instructor.
• 1 day workshop of how to lead multi-pitch ice. Possible with a day in front to lead on single pitch ice. For more experienced climbers. 4 participants.
• 2 day workshop of climbing self rescue on ice and ice climbing technique. We use the same techniques as in regular rock climbing, but add the crampons, axes and ice screws. For more experienced climbers. 4 participants.
Alpine ski touring:
• Basic ski touring course, 2 days. 6 persons.
• Basic avalanche course, 2 days. 6 persons.
• Ski touring techniques for more experienced skiers. 6 persons.
Cross country skiing:
Tips from a former cross country ski athlete, Norwegian/British and a cross country ski instructor:
• Beginner courses
• 1 day workshop classic (for more experienced skiers)
• 1 day workshop skating (for more experienced skiers).
• All these courses and workshops take up to 10 persons.

ABOUT HEMSEDAL
Hemsedal is situated in the mountain area between Norway’s east and west coast and is a 3 hour drive from Oslo. It is one of Norway’s best ski resorts, lots of cross country skiing, ice climbing and other winter sports, and not to mention lots of places to eat, sport shops etc.
