Climbing 6 classic north faces in the Alps, a first ascent in the Karakoram and Cerro Torre in Patagonia - all completed in 2020! Join us to hear Priti Wright, one half of the ‘Alpine Vagabonds,’ share her tales from across the globe culminating in a first ascent of K6 Central, the 7155m virgin peak, also making the 3rd ascent of K6 West along the way.
In this episode of Alpine Stories, part of the Winter Series, we hear about Priti’s year of climbing in Patagonia, training ascents in the alps including Eiger, Matterhorn, Petit Dru, and Grandes Jorasses and finally a successful expedition to Pakistan to climb K6 Central. Not even the global disruption of COVID could stop this intrepid couple from achieving their goals!
Priti is one half of the Alpine Vagabonds - a married couple based in Seattle that gave up their engineering day jobs for a year to focus on some long term alpine goals. Priti started out taking courses with BOEALPS and in just 7 years has climbed the Cassin Ridge on Denali, Fitz Roy, Cerro Torre, 6 classic north faces in the alps and The Nose in a day with her husband Jeff and most recently has just returned from making the first ascent of a 7155m peak, K6 Central.
